EVS meeting

Last week we had an EVS midterm evaluation in Korte, Izola. There were all the EVS volunteers whose projects are approximately on the half way. I'll be in Slovenia for one year, and now it's been a bit more than 5 months.

The training was about different activities and conversations linked on life in different country and culture, volunteering, working in different organizations and so on. We were talking through all the positive experiences but as well also about problems what me might face when living in a different culture with new people.

One day we had a project day. Our task was to promote EVS for young people. With our group we went to Koper, talking with people on the street and of course had some free time to see the coast :-) Some of us also went to swim, while others were enjoying the sun on the beach 8)

On the last evening we went to Piran and had a dinner all together in a restaurant. What a delicious fish food we had!

It's always fun with EVS volunteers, right?!

All in all, for me this last (almost) half a year has gave a lot. New experiences, points of view, and especially learning about myself a lot. When talking with other people who are in a same situation, it gives a new perspective also for yourself. It's fun to think that I had to travel thousands of kilometers to find myself but that's true. :-)
